Careers
Small team. Long horizon. Work that matters.
We're building infrastructure that communities will depend on for years. The people who build it should feel that weight — and find it motivating.
What it's like here
We're small by design, not by circumstance.
We don't have large teams because large teams make it easier to hide from the quality of your own work. Small teams mean everyone can see what everyone else is doing, and everyone is responsible for a meaningful fraction of what ships.
We're fully remote. We hire across time zones. The coordination cost is real, and we manage it by writing well, documenting decisions, and being explicit about context. If you do your best work asynchronously and in writing, you'll fit.
We don't have startup culture. We're not optimizing for a fast exit or a growth story. We're building something we think is important and we intend to be doing it for a long time. The people who are happy here are usually people who find that orientation steadying rather than boring.
What we look for
You take full responsibility for the things you build — through design, implementation, testing, and operation. You don't hand off to someone else when it gets hard.
You explain things without jargon. You write decisions down. You ask for help when you're stuck and share what you learn when you figure it out.
You design for the person who will use what you build, not the person who will review it. You care about the quality of experience, not the impressiveness of the implementation.
We don't have complete answers to all the hard questions. The right people find that interesting rather than anxiety-inducing.
Open roles
We don't always have open roles. Right now, we do.
How we hire
We don't do multi-stage interview loops that take months. We have a short written screen, a conversation, and a paid work sample. The total time from first contact to offer is typically two to three weeks.
We pay competitively for people who are genuinely good at what they do. We offer equity, health coverage, and a hardware budget. We don't use perks as a substitute for the work being worth doing.
